Yao - AllStar 2003 MVP

    I'm not pretty much convinced about Shaq's winning the MVP. Yes he was the highest pointer but he did play selfishly.


    Had YAO made one of his 2 3pt shot attempts in the 1st quarter, I'm sure that would change the complexion of the game and selection of the MVP.

    Had Yao played more down the stretch he would have won the MVP.
    Shaq came in with about 6 minutes left in the game and probably scored 6 points. If you take away those 6 points from Shaq and add a conservative 4 points to Yao you would get Yao with 20 and Shaq with 18. It would then be a toss up between Yao and Kobe as MVP.

    He should get MVP if he get more minutes. Shaq isn't a starter and he gets more minutes than Yao, kind of unfair, but I guess they want him to win MVP in his own court. In a couple more years, Yao should log more minutes than Shaq.
