https://www.cbsnews.com/news/andrew-yangs-presidential-race-drops-democratic-primaries-2020-02-11/ A really interesting campaign that Andrew ran, glad he did it.
It was clear three months ago he wasn’t going to win the race. He had some great ideas and I hope he does get a cabinet or VP position.
I was never won over by Yang but I agree he had some very interesting ideas and seemed very authentic. I would like to see him again. Maybe as a cabinet secretary
Eh, why not? I can credibly see Sanders adopting UBI. I also think UBI could be a more appealing policy proposal for potential Trump voters than Sanders' own plan of guaranteeing a government job.
I enjoyed his presence in debates and wish more politicians would listen to him. The coming technological changes will change the labor landscape as it has done in the 1600's, the 1800's and in other times in history. It will be jarring. Yang, like Milton Friedman believes that the problem with being poor is not having money. So by allowing people to have more money they can and should spend it as they choose. These use to be liberal ideas of individual choice. That is in stark contrast to Bernie Sanders who is an old line communist who things the government should give out services and ration them as their central planners determine is fair. We all know how these policies end up...in the gulag!
