I would Love to see Love on this team. That's in itself means Scola is gone. Scola is gone if you are looking for Josh Smith as well. The reality is that this team is SO BAD that Nene, Josh Smith, Love, none of these guys are going to put butts in the suites, or sell tickets as they aren't gonna improve this team that much. The only one that may would improve the team is possibly Nene, as he would start at a position where he would immediately improve the team. IF we aren't able to get Melo (or a Star) this year, the best plan is to develop a star. Scola and KMart aren't that guy. Sell high and get more picks. New Jersey has some pretty nice assets now! Not sure what it would take to get Love but I would be good with adding him, as he's young and someone who would fit in the long term rebuild plans. Scola and Matin, not so much.
Mid December the Warriors where interested in taking on Yao's expiring contract and they have had no hesitation is throwing Stephan Curry's name in rumours. Who's to say we don't package a deal including Shane and Jared's expiring contracts also for Curry and build around him as a new franchise player (finally), OH and that's right everybody seems to forget that he was runner up in the rookie of the year award due to the reduction in his numbers Morey's dream....
Every time I hear how OKC is doing it 'the right way', Sports Illustrated had a big article-etc, I think to myself; how does that plan work out if you replace Kevind Durant with an injured Greg Oden?
Or Harden with Tyreke? Or Curry? Think scary good, very scary. The model only works IF you get a Durant or a LeBron or a Blake Griffin. If you get Oden or Kenyon Martin or Bargnani then your model ain't a 10, just a 4 with a 6-pack.
