Thanks Miguel - this worked. To be honest, I didn't really understand your other post - but tried OpenDNS and it's all good. And thanks to everybody else too - I appreciate all the help!
No prob. OpenDNS is a good one, and I have always prefered it over whatever DNS Comcast or Phonoscope use. Turrble. When your DNS can't point to commonly used sites like Yahoo or Google, and then have it go on for hours at a time...then there's clearly a problem.
