its DOWN??????? Im about to get on it.... how long is this for? I got to play a game of APF with a friend!
this blows. halo's servers been all jacked, and i can't even play my buddies on nba2k8. :-/ we better get reimbursed for a month or something.
Oh crap I thought it was just my Xbox messing up. I couldn't download some new update for Bioshock and it wasn't loading any demos from the marketplace. I got really pissed and almost threw the controller at the xbox.
A conversation that took place a couple of days ago on the 23rd or 24th... Comcast:"Sir, have you contacted Xbox Live to see if they are currently working?" iDrizno:"Ma'am, 3 of my boys are waiting for me in a pre-game lobby...I'm pretty sure Xbox Live is working." Comcast:"(Silence)" Comcast:"Have they tried calling Xbox Live?" iDrizno:"(Ends call and loads another bowl)"
i was wondering what the hell was going on last night... had to break down and play some cod4 single player for the first time...
Only thing I could guess is that their servers are being overloaded?.?.? It is that time of the year when a lot of people are off work or out of school. They are also getting back home from the Christmas holidays. Who knows. I'm back to playing Assassin's Creed and Guitar Hero 3 cause it takes 20 mins to get into a match on Halo.
XBL has been very flaky ever since christmas-time...nothing wrong with our 360s themselves, that's what I thought for a couple days but it's not just server overload I'm guessing, due to a bunch of new software people have gotten
I had the same problem and I spent like an hour trying to figure out if there was a problem in my network setting, because it wasn't like live was completely dead, it was on and off. I almost went as far to buy a new router. I've got to have my cod4 fix. I wish they would have send an email to their clients next time when the service has a problem.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/biz/5428678.html Microsoft offers a freebie to ease Xbox Live frustrations Associated Press SEATTLE — Microsoft Corp. said today it will give Xbox 360 owners a free video game to make up for poor performance over the holidays by the system's online hub. Gamers log on to the Xbox Live Web site to buy games, television shows and movies to load onto their consoles, and interact with other players. Video game blogs such as Joystiq recently reported that users had a slew of problems with the site over the holidays, including trouble signing in, downloading media and getting matched with online opponents. "We are disappointed in our performance," wrote Marc Whitten, general manager of Xbox Live, on the Xbox 360 support Web site. Whitten said record-breaking traffic and new-member sign-ups caused the "intermittent Xbox Live issues." Microsoft, which says it has sold more than 17.7 million Xbox 360 consoles since the system's November 2005 debut, bulked up its capacity for gamers on Xbox Live both before the release of the wildly popular "Halo 3" and ahead of the holiday season. The software maker did not publicly detail the problems Xbox users faced or the steps it has taken to fix the issues. Whitten said the company will give a free game from the Xbox Live Arcade, but did not say which titles will be chosen, or when.

suprised this hasn't been posted. Some people from Houston are suing Microsoft for the outage. Have to admit I was hoping it would be a poster from the bss. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6184323.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;1 awesome
