So I am trying to connect my XBOX Live in my dorm room but it keeps saying "Your network doesn't have a sufficient MTU setting."

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

It might be helpful if you let us know what university you are at.

Call your school's computing center, they should be able to tell you if you can connect or not and if there's anything special you might need to configure. We couldn't connect to Xbox Live at my school in the dorms due to the network setup.

Still, give the school computer folks a call... They'd know if anything changed on the network during winter break. I would guess that you won't be the first to call about it.

Contact tech support at your school about their mtu size on the router your connection is connected to and see if they can set it to 1400. Although I doubt they actually care about your xbox not being able to connect.
