    gr8-1,
I personally think that the X-Box will be the most powerful game system on the market. From everything I have been reading the graphics will just blow you away.

The DVD Player on the X-Box is also progressive scan. Nice touch.

    I can't wait until November 8 (I already preordered my X-Box)...

Are you gonna give the Gamecube a shot also? When is that gonna come out?

Also, do you have a PS2 yourself?

MS has just recently changed the specs regarding the DVD player. Whereas before they were touting a progressive scan player, now they are saying the DVD movies will be NTSC only. The games will have progressive scan capability only.

Some people have cancelled their pre-orders over this. It's a bummer that MS changed their minds. I guess they want you to buy a XBox for the main purpose of buying and playing games(so they can make money). The PS DVD capability was drawing in too many HT types who want a DVD player first and a game console second.

That isn't to say there won't be a possible software upgrade(or hack) in the future that could allow PS DVD movie playback. But, who knows when that will be...
