I'll cut Eddie Griffin some slack, if he can get the 3 first round draft choices we wasted to get him, back!!! Those danged guaranteed contracts for untried rookies is what is killing this game. The NBA has got to get that out of the collective bargaining agreement next time around!! Else you'll keep getting first round draft choices that get the money and then sit around on their rich arses.
Nope, that's what's saving the game. They can lock up the superstars for 5 years at reasonable costs and even the busts aren't that overpaid. It was ruining the game when they didn't have set contracts for rooks. Then, wow, some of the worst guys were making a ton of cash. Hell, Eric Montross is still on his rookie contract raking in millions.
