I am suprised I have not seen this on the board yet, but Jerry Kraus is thinking about getting rid of Jalen Rose.

This is just a thought but would you guys trade him straight up for Cat.

I think Cat is a better scorer but Jalen is much more team affiliated and he has a lot of playoff experince.

    What do you guys think?

If you think Mobley is selfish (I don't), look at Jalen Rose.

I would like to have Jalen Rose, he helped lead Indiana to the Finals. The other good players on that team were Reggie Miller and Smits, but I would say Rose was the best player. He is much better than Mobley.

But it's too risky. Rose has way too much baggage, we don't need a headcase.

Here's the take on Jalen Rose:
    http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2002/1111/1459093.html

After his falling out with Pacers coach Isiah Thomas, Rose was exiled from Indiana on Feb. 19. Rose didn't agree with the way his role with the team had turned out.

"Jalen is a great talent," the official told The Star-Ledger, "but face it: He's just not an easy guy to play with. We had him here (for 5½ years), and Isiah took the hit for it not working out ... but Jalen is high-maintenance."

According to the newspaper, Rose's commitment to coach Bill Cartwright's triangle system is questionable. That he dominates the ball is making the Bulls' coaching staff wonder if Rose is willing to play with rookie point guard Jay Williams.

Cartwright's frustrations boiled over after Chicago's loss to Boston last week, when the coach said his team needed "to have guys step up and lead. We're going to find a guy or guys to lead our team." Rose, the team's captain, didn't respond well to the remarks.

"The thing about being in the NBA is 82-game speeches get old," Rose said. "You don't have to get guys motivated to play with rah-rah. Rah-rah is just that. Anybody can be rah-rah."

So the answer to trading him for Cat = NO NO NO

Doesnt Rose play the 3 anyway?

There is only one player that I would trade Cuttino for and Rose definately isnt one of them. :D

Rose and Cuttino are very similar players. They both take about 19 shots a game, both average around 20, Mobely is shooting a little better, but Rose is shooting the 3 pointer better. Of course, Rose has more rebounds, almost twice the number of assists, and fewer turnovers per game, but he also steals the ball less and has fewer blocks. The difference, of course, is that Rose is one of those guys that justs goes from team to team, meaning you don't want him.

If Jalen Rose were a more team affiliated player he wouldn't be on the block right now, and he wouldn't be bouncing from team-to-team for no apparent reason.

Why would we do that trade? Rose is a cancer everywhere he goes.
