Alston, Head, and Howard for Todd Murphy and Derek Fisher? Works in realgm. I know the Rox would be taking on a lot of salary, but with the alleged win now attitude, Murphy gives you a shooter and rebounder at the 4. Fisher can still hit the big 3. You have to give up something to get something. I'd hate to lose Luther. Also this assumes that we get James to play the point. I believe N.O. would part with JR Smith for the smaller exception. Lineup Yao/Mutombo Murphy/Hayes/Novak Tmac/Battier/Novak Smith/Bogans James/Fisher/Banks
No. I wouldn't even consider it, because I've never even heard of Todd Murphy! Now if we could get Golden State to consider including Troy Murphy then we've got something worth considering... p.s. It looks like JR Smith is heading to Chicago with PJ Brown for Tyson Chandler.
In all seriousness, I would do that in a heartbeat. I just don't think Golden State would do it. I would actually make our lineup like this, though: Yao Murphy Battier McGrady James And, actually, that would give us a top 3 line up in the league, in my opinion.
I like Troy Murohy as a Rocket, 6'10 245lbs three point range and a board crasher, i don't like the idea of adding Fisher, does his contract run longer than Juwans? If it does then no, if its the same length then i might consider it. If we can find a way to get strictly Murhpy alone i would definately give it some heavy thought, especially at the expense of Juwan.
I believe it runs one year longer. As I said, you have to give to get. Murphy's contract is more money in the long run, so the trade off is somewhat equal. GS is headed to Luxury Tax Hell and Murphy and the contracts of Luther, Rafer, and Juwan will free them up faster and ultimately cost less
I would do it in a second if we could throw in a pick and they would throw in mickael peach! I love peach(peitrus) he is going to be a star!
Too bad Fisher couldn't guard Nash, Terry, Parker, Andre Miller, Bibby - basically any PG in the West. Who cares if he can hit a big three if the other PG hangs 30 on him? Is it really worth taking on Fisher's large contract at his advancing age in hopes he comes through for the "big 3" - what maybe a half dozen times over 82+ games? I wouldn't have taken Fisher 3 years ago - much less now. Remember the guy put up only average numbers on one of the worst teams in the league. ...and it looks pretty good that N.O. will package Smith with Brown in the deal with the Bulls for Chandler.
First off, I wouldn't and don't consider Fisher a starter. He would strictly be off the bench. By the way Nash, Terry Parker and the others you named, regulary give 30pts to just about everyone they face. What's your point. A big 3 in big games is what we need. Fisher would not be a 30 minute per night player. The whole point here is to get the 26 yr. old PF that we so desperately need.
I thought about Petrius(sp) but I think that would be pushing the envelope a bit too much. I think he'll be great as well. What draft pick are you speaking of?
Wow if Golden State was going to tank before the season began I say pull the trigger P.S. Yes I say do the trade
I would definitely take Todd Murphy because he was a pretty good dodgeball player in my 3rd grade class. PLEASE MAKE MORE TRADE THREADS.
Also the wars have been considering unloading peitrus so i really think they would do a Alston,Head,Jho,2007 first, for Troy murphy,Peitrus, and fish!
