I'm from Sacramento, so I want some perspective here. Since Brad Miller is a free agent and may want to go elsewhere, would you trade Brad Miller for Turkoglu and Clark if you're Indiana? I know as Sacramento I would do it. Turkoglu has to be gone after next season anyways, because the Kings can't pay him (plus Gerald Wallace deserves big-time miinutes anyway). They would get a star center to replace Vlade, which is the only thing they lack right now. Here's how both teams' main rotations would end up: RED = Retiring Soon SAC: C: Vlade, B. Miller, Pollard PF: Webber, Pollard SF: Peja, Wallace SG: Christie, Jackson/Wallace PG: Bibby, Jackson IND: C: J. O'Neal, Clark, Foster PF: Harrington, Clark SF: Turkoglu, Artest SG: Artest, R. Miller, Mercer PG: Tinsley, E. Strickland If Indiana can retain Jermaine O'Neal, I honestly think this trade helps both teams, but my perspective may be skewed. Thoughts? (Please?) And now that I think of it, do you think the Bulls would trade the #7 and Dalibor Dagaric for Turkoglu, as mentioned in the WC Rumors thread? I'm assuming the Kings would then take Lampe or Kaman.
I would, I am not a Brad Miller fan. But the only drawback I can see with Clark and Oneal and Foster and Harrington as your centers and PF rotation is that you have a beef shortage. Such a thing is tolerable in the East, but not going to be able to bang with the West's big boys if that is your eventual goal. But IMO, Turkoglu and Clark are more value than Brad Miller alone, so, I would probably do it.
Turkoglu sucks. Hes not worth the #7 pick in the draft. He would never start for Indiana, Ron Artest is a lot better. I dont see why people like him so much. Hes slow, handles arnt very good, and he cant play D. BUT, if Im Indiana I would still do that trade. I really like Keon Clark and Turk is all right coming off the bench. Its pretty fair trade. The 2nd one is no good tho.
You may think Turkoglu isn't that great, but I can tell you personally that I think Turkoglu is a damn good player. Being from Sacramento b-ball fanatic, I've seen roughly half the games Turkoglu has played in purple. His passing borders on PG-like, he does a good job defending either forward position, and he's a good enough rebounder that he can play minutes at PF against big-time teams. His shot is pretty good, though a tad flat. Still, he shoots 42% and 37% 3pt, so it's certainly shouldn't be considered a major fault. The guy is the complete package. I'm not seeing how he sucks. He's not way above average in any category but passing, but he doesn't have any holes in his game. And BTW, I wasn't saying he would start over Artest. He has the versatility to play SG and Reggie won't be around for much longer is what I'm saying... Since you say Hedo sucks, I'm guessing I know what your opinion on the second one is. I didn't think it up, it's just a rumor off ESPN, like I said. But I think it makes sense for both teams: the Bulls get guaranteed value, and the Kings get a guy who's viewed as a rising star (that they can't afford to pay) off their books in return for a gamble on a legit big guy. Whatever. Sounds like I at least wasn't crazy to think Indiana would do that.
This trade wont happen because Jermaine O'Neal is leaving also, brad miller for clark and turk why would sacremento ever do that clark for miller straight up
Keon Clark by himself isn't enough in trade for Brad Miller. He's still too much of a gamble in my eyes.
