I saw a thread here about the worst song ever, and I wanted to start this one about what the worst video ever for a song would be. I'm not sure if its the worst one ever, but has anyone seen the video for Boom by P.O.D. where they play a ping-pong team and they are in this tournament that gets all intense and their coach gets thrown out for arguing with the ref? It's one of the silliest things I have ever seen.
I totally agree with you Baqui99. What's her deal that she has to always be getting her collab on and sticking her head in everyone else's videos? Same thing with that guy Pharrell from the Neptunes.
Missy Elliot has some of the most creative videos in hip hop. If all you want to see is Snoop and a bunch of Hoes, you need to get a girlfriend.
"llano estacado" gets nominated for: --WORST MOTHERF***ING song ever --WORST VIDEO EVER (for both the truck commercial and the crap seen here ) --the "i just took a nasty dump and i'm telling you...the stuff that's in the toilet smells and looks A LOT better than this crap" award
Every Van Halen (& David Lee Roth) video. There just wasn't enough boobs and butts! I'd have to say "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by Verve Pipe. I love the song, but what was the theme of the video...??? I live in the city and don't own a car...I don't get to experience road rage, so let me bump into everybody walking down the sidewalk and experience 'sidewalk rage'? I dunno... And...almost all videos shown on Beavis and Butthead episodes. Some of those were hideous. (i.e. Morbid Angel)
"Hyperactive" by Thomas Dolby is not only one of the most annoying songs ever but has one of the most incredibly stupid videos of all-time.
Pharrell isnt in that many videos considering how many songs he's produced. He just happens to have two of the hottest songs, and in my opinion the Neptunes are the hottest producers in the music industry. They just keep dropping hit after hit.
A technicality: that was the Verve, not the Verve Pipe. They did come out around the same time. What's that rap video out right now with (whoever he is) and the bunch of dancing "hoes" that keep saying "Damn" over and over again... and the big lighted "Damn" sign behind them... that one annoys me.
Any video with a rapper wearing a backwards sports jersey. I think that may be my biggest pet peeve ever! How the hell did such a stupid fashion statement get started? I can just picture someone like Fabolous one day waking up with the mother of all hangovers, putting on his throwback Alex English jersey backwards, and walking into a recording studio to have his boys laugh at him. To cover up his mistake he stutters, "uh... um, nah, nah man... this is the way to wear it now." All videos featuring backwards jerseys should be outlawed and burned immediately. The day I see a person in the street trying this stunt is the day you will see my ugly mug on the local news for violently attacking an "innocent" pedestrian.
A technicality of my mentality: I pulled that video out of my head and for the life of me, I couldn't remember whether Pipe (or The) should be included with the band name.
I nominate "Head over Feet" by Alanis Morrissette. One of my fav songs on the album and all they had for the video was here in front of the camera singing the song, thats it, no movement, nothing.
Neptunes kick ass. I think any creed video is stupid. Same damn crap. I was watching VH1 Pop Up Video, and they were doing a Creed Video, and it had Concept of the Video, some crap about some uplifting, spiritual moment or whatever. THen it goes, that is the concept of all their videos. WHat is up with him trying to put his arms up like that for? I think Jesus should fight Scott Stapp, and kick his ass. Then file suit for infringement. You can't beat Jesus F'Ning Christ in the court of law.
