Is that the one where Michael Myers isn't even in the movie?

Matrix 2 totally ****ed up a great Sci Fi movie. Matrix One would be even better if not for those lame as sequels.

I agree. The first is probably my favorite movie of all time. And Tarantino basically said he would pick the Matrix as his favorite movie (instead of 2nd place) since the year Pulp Fiction came out if it weren't for the sequels tarnishing it.

He picked Battle Royale for his top favorite BTW.

Sorry but I gotta offer a dissenting opinion here. People seem to hate on Matrix Reloaded but the way I recall it, everyone was waiting with bated breath after Reloaded came out in May to see what would happen with Revolutions in November. Then, Revolutions dropped the ball badly and everyone just lumped the two together and started saying they both sucked, when in reality, the second one actually kicked EVEN MORE ass than the first.

Dude. There was a 45-minute action scene in the second movie. And none of that pure CGI crap that we saw in the third movie where Neo and Smith flew into the sky and looked the same as the Rock did in Mummy 2 (aka: rendered in a fashion barely discernable from the graphics of a video game).

From the foyer of the mansion to the parking garage to the freeway, first with the police car chase, then with the motorcycle deal, then with Morpheus slicing the truck in two with his sword (how balla was that?!), then the fight on top of the eighteen wheelers +/- his sword, and finally ending with the two eighteen wheelers colliding head-on as Neo carries them all off into the sky...I mean, when people look back upon our civilization hundreds of years from now, THAT might be the moment where they go "holy crap" because I dunno about you guys but I cannot imagine anything more balls to the wall that you could pull off in an action movie and actually get away with. Some things in Wanted and 300 come close, but in a pure action sense, Matrix Reloaded remains the epitome for me. I have never wanted to kick someone's ass more walking out of a theater than I did after that movie, and no matter how disappointed I was after watching the third movie, Reloaded will always have a soft spot in my heart.

Anyways, as far as my vote for crappiest sequel is concerned...I mean it's got to be Indiana Jones 4 right? They basically took the best Indy girl from all the movies (Marian) and took a giant dump on her while navigating a plot that involved aliens, killer ants, and Shia LaBoeuf. Done and done.
