Gigli is one of my guilty movie pleasures. I thought it was pretty good. I think a lot of people bashed it just because it was the cool thing to do. Freddy Got Fingered was also hilarious. That scene with the dead moose had me on the floor.
I'll admit I watched Gigli because I wanted to see just how bad it could be; if it lived up to expectations. But I really did have an open mind, and I didn't think it could possibly be as bad as people were claiming. That said it just was a complete bore to me; its plot going absolutely nowhere. Outside of the "gobble gobble" line though, it didn't have many stupid moments. I just kept wondering why this was a movie. And Freddy Got Fingered I thought would be a funny movie, but I had had enough after the delivery room scene.
this doesnt really count as a movie, but if you want a movie thats so ridiculously bad that it's funny, there's a lifetime original movie called cyber seduction: his secret life. it's about a seventeen year old who discovers pron and it ruins his life. i had tears in my eyes watching this movie, it was so frickin hilarious. i'd recommend it to anyone as the worst movie ever. so bad it's good.
Come on now, it's not that bad. I'll go as far as to say that it's on the level of almost any of the Japanese 'zillas that came in between the original and Godzilla 1985. Not bad, but certainly not good.
Seriously though, none of the movies listed are anywhere near worst ever. Skinemax used to show some flat out TERRIBLE flicks late at night. They'd trick you into thinking it was a p*rn because Shannon Tweed was the star but it would wind up being some lame ass cop drama that failed to entertain on any level. Sorry, I don't have any names, but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about...
I'd go with The Pest. The only movie that made me sleep in a theatre, and it was supposed to be a comedy.
"Nixon" and "Natural Born Killers" were awful, awful movies. Pretentious and unpleasant. The rot had set in with Oliver Stone with "The Doors," but I held out for those two. Some friends and I were joking before we saw "Nixon" about how Stone would throw in a tripping indian scene in Nixon and damned if he didn't literally put that in the movie! During Nixon's hallucinations while he was in the hospital up popped a tripping indian. Horrrrrible. The movie that I hate the most is "Magnolia." If ever a movie used its characters as two dimensional set pieces for a trite and lazy bid to make an IMPORTANT FILM that didn't add up at all it was that movie. Characters that were supposed to represent types of people would literally announce it in the dialouge- the "good cop" endlessly refers to himself as the "good cop;" the child abusing game show host is named "Jimmy Gator," etc. That movie took five hours of my life that I will never get back (at least it seemed that long). The film showed people who weren't recognizably human simply as an excuse tell the most trite cliches in the form of some profound message. I was really pissed off that Anderson had to resort to plagerism to get out of the dead end of the script he wrote. Who uses the Deus Ex Machine (literally- a rain of frogs ended the film) anymore? The end. Lazily stealing from the Bible and Robert Altman's "Short Cuts" is one thing, but stealing from them and polishing that turd into a supposedly meaningful meditation on our times is unforgiveable. Wow..off on a bit of rant here..sorry, I'll stop now.
I thought King Kong was the worst movie ever made. Exit Wounds with Steven Seagal and DMX makes a close second.
i like from dusk till dawn... salma hayek is sexy as f@#k in that movie and that alone saves it from bad movie status. my vote goes to "boys and girls". me and a few friends saw this and to this day it's the only movie i've ever walked out on.
