What is your worst date experience?

Mine was 1976. I was 16. It was our first date together. We...ok...I decide that we will go to the Rush/Ted Nugent concert. We get to the concert somewhat early - it's a general admission - and the crowd begins pushing so we're getting crushed but not as bad as the folks up by the doors. They open the doors and we get our seats. Artful Dodger, the warm up band, takes the stage. And the thoughtful date that I was, brought 2 bottles of Cherry flavored Vodka - tastes like cough syrup. It turns out that she wasn't a big fan of drinking cherry flavored cough syrup so after I finish my bottle, I start to finish hers. A bad date is about to get worse.

The warm-up band finishes and while we are waiting for Rush to setup - I pass out. Somewhere in Rush's performance, I come to long enough to hear someone saying, "The drum stage is rising up and down, the drum stage is rising up and down!" As bad as I felt (I threw up xtimes under my seat), I had to see that. So I slowly raise my head...the drum stage isn't moving...I slowly lower my head back down for more zzzs.

The next thing I know, Ted Nugent is doing his encore. A couple of songs later, the "show" is over. And while this would have been a horrible date, it's not over yet. We make our way back to the car. The only problem is that in haste to get a good seat, I failed to check to see where I parked my car. We check all over in vain looking for my car. Finally, once everyone had left (maybe an hour later), I found my car.

Believe it or not, we actually had a second date. Man she must have been desperate.

I'm not sure which shocks me more...the fact that you passed out during Rush or that Rush toured with Ted Nugent.

No telling what the girl was thinking.

I took a girl to McDonald's on a date once. I didn't have a problem when she ordered #6 with an oreo cookie milk shake. But when she asked to have it supersized I knew this girl was way too high maintenanced for me.

And you want to be my latex salesman... :D

Just ONE. Not exactly a date, but, worst experience was in high school, after we let out early from classes. A bunch of friends and I decided to see a movie, and we see some chicks from school there. One of them starts to say she wants all of us to sit guy/girl/guy/girl in the same row, so we do. She leans over, and starts slobbering all over me. Come to think of it, worst KISS I ever had happened then, too. I felt like I was being licked by a cow. Nevertheless, I was a gentlemen and said: "No... not here... " Not ANYWHERE after that. That chick wanted to walk together and even call me later after that. No way, Hose A. I only saw her in school a few times. Bad times... bad times.

When I was about 19 I went on a date with this one chick. We went to Friday's and had dinner. We had great conversation and it was amazing how much we had in common. We wanted the same things out of life and I thought she was beautiful. We later went to the movies and I didn't even care what it was because I just loved being around her. I was so nervous when I went to hold her hand. When she held mine back it was exhilarating. I knew right then that I loved her. We rarely were apart after that and eventually got married. We had two kids together and I was happy. Then she started ****ing this douche bag that she worked with and ripped my heart to pieces. She ran off with my kids to Chicago and thousand of dollars and 9 months later I finally got them back.

I should have went and played pool with my buddy Dob instead.

I've forgotten... did you get the wife back too?

I know of a guy whose wife started seeing a man who owned a company for whom this guy was a supplier of sorts. At some point suspicions arose about what had been going on for awhile. Rumor has it that one of "their" children even favored the other guy.

Long story short: the big bad guy bought out my friend's business for $5 Million and now he's divorced and living in Florida fishing for a lifetime. The big man got the nasty wife. Ugh.

Does that count as a date story? :D

Just curious, did she think of the kids at all when she was taking them away from their dad or she a completely self absorbed person?

The latter. You should have heard the judge ream her ass in court. I chuckled a bit too loud and he told me to shut up.

It was absolutely horrible at the time but everything is cool now. I see my kids all the time and am very involved in as much as I can. I am infinitely more happy with my current situation and where our lives are going. We have finally caught some incredible breaks lately and it is a very positive time in the MB household.

I never received any money back that she took when she ran off. The thousands of dollars that I mentioned was the money I spent paying for the divorce. It was extra expensive because she tried to file for divorce in Chicago even though the proper jurisdiction was Texas. The only reason she wanted to do it up there was because she thought she would get more money out of me. She was originally asking for $3000 a month in child support and spousal support. Ultimately, it was agreed on for half of that which I still think is incredibly unfair but whatever. I still get by fairly well.

The judge told her how he was appauled that she could make such a rash decision that undoubtably hurt the kids. She allegedly ran through all of the money that she took and when he asked her where the money was she said that she spent it setting herself up in Chicago. Trust me it was more than what was needed to get a freaking apartment and get started. She already had furniture because she took everything that we owned. When he said that she seemed to be spoiled, money grubbing, and irresponsible, I couldn't help but laugh at her.

Glad to hear things turned out OK. People tend to forget that it isn't always the husband running off with his secretary.

    Amen to that!

Good to hear that everything turned out the way it did, though.
