During Game 2 of the World Series on fox they showed a graphic of the teams that had the most championship wins in a row, i guess that means 'finals' wins, and they put up the Houston Rockets as having six in a row, the last two against the Knicks, and then the four game sweep of Orlando. That came as the third most won championship games in a row. it IS an oblivious statistic, but at least we got mentioned during the world series

Hey I was going to mention that stat! But the first are the Yankees who are on a freakin 14 game winning streak in the World Series!!!!!!!! The Montreal Canadiens (i think) are on a 11 or 12 game winning streak. THE HOUSTON ROCKETS ARE ON A 6 GAME WINNING STREAK. Their was also a forth team that I cant remember.

But I guess what all of this says is that we are the third most dominant team rite now !!!!!!!!!!!! [IMG]

Saw it. Was surprised at first that we owned that record, but then realized you've got to sweep a sweries and then get back to the finals and win again. very tough to do. Go rockets.

It is a current 6 game streak, so if the Rockets get back to the finals, they can improve upon their own record.

Along with the 6 game finals winning streak, I believe in the 2nd championship run, The Rockets also have the record for most road victories(9) in one playoff year and the only team to beat 4 straight opponents that had 50 or more wins. Utah, Phoenix, SA, and Orlando.

Not even the mighty Bulls(or any other team) accomplished any of those feats. [IMG]

The proudest Rockets record of all time, in my opinion, will always be Most Consecutive Wins When Facing Elimination. Does anyone here remember how many of those we won consecutively in 1994 and 1995? I think it was 1 against the Suns in '94, 2 against the Knicks, 2 against the Jazz in '95, and 3 against the Suns. That's zero losses in eight straight must-win games, netting two championships.
