why do you always ask such vague questions that have no relevance to the topic? What do I think of lying? I think most people think the same and that lying in general is unethical. Of course there may be circumstances where it might be necessary.

I agree with landlord landry here. I know we may all have different political views here but so far in the threads I have read Basso has conducted himself with a lot more civility than batman jones, mcmark, samfisher, and some other posters. Again I don't know the history here but at least from the threads I have read basso has been a lot more level headed than the people attacking him.

We may all disagree on the topics brought up but let's not resort to personal attacks. I was guilty of it in the other thread with SamFisher and I have appologized and I am moving on. He did not respond to my apology but instead followed with more insults. I guess that is fine but I will not be involved in that sort of posts anymore from my side.

Its a strange coincidence that the people whose opinions you agree with are all the people you think conduct themselves well, and the people you disagree with are all the unruly mouth-breathers.

What a wonderful stroke of luck.

I know I haven't been posting much lately, but I think I deserve a shout out too rather than being lumped with some.

I am very well aware I may have biases towards people with similar views as myself and that bias may be hard to overcome which is why I stated I know we all have very different opinions on different issues. Also I do not agree with everything basso says. I also don't completely disagree with some people with different views than I do. Rocketsjudoka (not sure if that I got that right) and I had very good discussions on another thread on here. He made some very valid arguments which I agree to. Anyways I am aware I may have a bias which is why I tried to be as objective as possible. That is life and part of being human is people will have biases. Which is why it is almost impossible to truly have a impartial judge. Anyways trying to look at things as objectively as possible here is what I witnessed in the few threads I have been involved in.

    1) Basso or mojoman will post an article or state some political view of theirs
    2) several posters who i mentioned earlier will start posting calling mojo and basso names and childish immature personal attacks
    3) it may sometimes be heated and some exchange might go back and forth
    4) but overall basso and mojo man in the threads I have been involved in have not sunk to the level of say batman jones. They simply just have different views but for the most part from what i witnessed did not sink down to immature childish personal attacks.

Again I am trying to look at this as objectively as possible and not let my political views get in the way. If it was the other way around and the people with similar views as I do was behaving in the same way I would have exactly the same thing to say.

Now I cant control what others post but I will for sure not partake in that behavior anymore.

I accidentally hit submit before I could finish my thought. One more thing is I keep hearing how basso supposedly did something so bad he almost got banned. I am not aware of the history there but I really haven't seen anything in his posts that warrants such a claim. Other than resorting back to he is a "liar, idiot, moron, etc"

Actually since basso, in a rarity, contributed a paragraph of non-CTRL + C text, I'll give him a response.

Basso writes a post about Obama flip flopping, meanwhile the Republican party, of which he is, by his own admission a registered member, has basically spent the last year:

    -Introducing and sponsoring legislation and then voting against it;

-Running against government spending with fake grassroots movements then sucking up every last dollar and attending every ribbon cutting, even holding the whole government hostage to get their piece a la Shelby

-Running against the TARP bailout implemented by GWB and voted for by many of its legislator, meanwhile trying to block proposed financial regulatory reform.

-Running against "socialized medicine" on the grounds that it would harm Medicare

-Having their judicial wing on the SCT turn over democracy wholesale to special interest based on the legal fiction of corporate speech, reversing precedent and, for CJ Roberts, reneging on his sworn testimony regarding his reverence for precedent.

It's odd to see people cheering against health care reform. "Yay! Our health care will keep getting worse and sucking! Alright!"

Yes vlaurelio is not worth my time to respond to him. He makes absolutely no sense and has yet to contribute anything meaningful to discuss.
