Must have missed it if there were any threads on it after the American team went out...I am not that fanatic about womens' soccer, but I'm still glad the German girls won :).

Have not seen the last few games, was it deserved?

i saw the cananda - usa third place game where the US won. That girl on the Canandian team, Kara Lang, is pretty damn good. Only 16 years old but she was punking some of the US defenders.

How does someone so young get on the national team like that? They said Mia Hamm was on the USA national team when she was only 15! I wonder when Freddie Adu will play for the national team.

It was definitely deserved SJC. They played very well defensively against some really good competition. They took it to the USA and pounded them into submission.

It was only 1-0 until the desperaton of stoppage time crept up on the US. The US had a couple of near-makes in the final minutes of regulation, as I recall.

Yeah, the Germans deserved to win but it was a closer match than the score indicated.

SJC - They deserved it. They played very offensively. An average of over 4 goals by game which is incredible.
