I find myself decreasing the amount of seafood I eat primarily because of the pollution of mercury and PCBs. You have to be pretty selective as to what you eat (ie, minimal Atlantic salmon, instead Pacific salmon is much cleaner). I don't touch swordfish or many other types. There are some pretty good guides online that help you figure out whats polluted or overfished.
Funny, but my statement wasn't a response to the article. Thanks! I've been swamped with work. I've been lurking a little but haven't had much time to post.
I eat a lot more fish now. It's good for you, it carries some essential nutrients and proteins without the cholesterol of red meat.
The thing is I am not a big fan of seafood in general. I don't mind some shrimp once in a while, but the only fish I like is tilapia, or St. Peter's fish as some like to call it.
Are you talking about the one dropped from the plane? I thought that was off the Carolinas. They got some mighty mighty fine Kolaches in Georgia!
