After reading the other network thread, I tried using security keys again on the home wireless network. It works fine, but I get disconnected and reconnected periodically. When that happens, my computer doesn't remember to reconnect with the WEP key. I have to go into my network properties (the menu where you type in the key) and manually click "ok" to get access. In the meanwhile, I'm dead in the water while connected to my network.

I'm running Windows XP Home with all the updates. I know Pro is much better, but I'm lazy and it shouldn't be like that on Home anyways....

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

if you right click on your wireless adapter and click properties, there should be a tab that says "wireless networks"

there is a section in there where you can set up "preferred networks" that will basically tell your computer to connect automatically to the network

    Thanks Codell,

I go there, and then I click on my Home network's properties to enter the password key.

While I don't have to enter the password every time, I have to goto that menu and press OK to connect to the network again.

This doesn't have that problem using WPA-PSK encryption, but there's some outdated computers on my Home network that doesn't have it.
