Nice job by Isner there to hold, but he looks like he is done...

 

I was saying that 20+ games ago.

He is certainly the more fatigued of the 2 but he actually looks better right now than he did about an hour ago, in my opinion, as crazy as that sounds.

 

Yeah, it looks like he can barely walk. He's staying in it because he's still got his serve . . . for now. It's going to be hard as hell for him to break serve and I don't know if he'll last long enough for them to suspend the game for darkness again.

 

I didn't think it was possible when you first said there was about 2 hours of daylight.

There was a point an hour plus ago where he whiffed completely on 2 backhands. And they were easy shots. He was also losing serve speed.

As fatigued as he looks now, he looks better to me than at that point.

Maybe it's the food or the temperature cooling down.

 

Something crazy will probably happen soon. Mahut will break...followed by Isner breaking.

 

The thing is with Isner, he looks lethargic even when he's fresh due to his body type.

I'm not questioning his current fatigue. He's drained. Just that I think it's a little deceiving with him because of his natural movement. Sort of like Yao.

 

Let's see if Isner gets enough spring in his step to break serve.. he seems to get a burst of energy after the short breaks.

 

That would be something if they end up exchanging breaks at some point.

 

That would take this insanity to another level if that's possible.

 

Wow this set alone is longer than any tennis match in history.

 

Someone has to start a "How Do You Feel About Tennis Now?" poll after this.

 

Or a "How do you feel about no tiebreaker in the 5th set?" poll. :grin:

 

At least there are no ties in tennis. :grin:

It's hard to comprehend this.

 

I just don't see how one of these guys is going to pull off a break at this point... When they're fresh tomorrow maybe we can get up to 100-100.

 

Do you think they will consider changing it? I like it the way it is and prefer playing no tiebreakers in the 5th set.

 

Would be fun to see how many calories they've burned or how many steps if they wore a pedometer..

 

ESPN had a poll around 50 games ago and it was 80/20 in favor of there being no tiebreaker in the 5th set.
