For the love of God, why is Glenn Rice still in the starting line up, if he is not hitting his jump shot he becomes a liability for the team. In my opinion if you bring Rice off the bench he becomes less fatigue, therefor he would still have his shooting legs under him for those three point attempts. My starting line up would be Yao Edddie Steve MoT Cat Bench Players Rice Thomas Cato Tmo Let's face it right now Eddie should play the small forward position for this team, because he is still not big enough to play down low, and he's shooting the outside J better than Rice.

I agree with you man, I think Griffin would be excellent at the 3 spot. Glen Rice should definetely not be starting anymore!

You must understand , in Rudy's mind , Rice would be helpful in the playoffs .

I agree with this. Griffin is essentially the better spot up shooter anyway. Plus, he could play the 4 and let KT play the 3 on defense.

Its called spacing, the opposition still respects Rice's outside shooting ability. They don't leave Rice for long. That in turn opens up the court for everyone else. When Eddie, Moochie or Hawkins is in the game the opposition then starts packing it in which makes it much harder for everyone else to drive and get the ball inside.

That's why he plays and he also doesn't make stupid mistakes. He doesn't force things, he understands the game the Rockets are trying to play. He doesn't always try to set himself up for a pass on the strong side but looks for the open look on the weak side. An experienced hand can help in all so many ways without ever touching the ball. Give him some love, that awesome spacing the Rockets had yesterday was not caused solely from Yao and Steve but because of who else the Rox had on the court. Otherwise they would have just cut off the lane, that's also why Mobley is so important to the Rox, the threat of his outside shot just helps the team SPREAD the floor.

Rice is showing flashes of breaking out, and despite his struggles other teams still respect Rice's shot and they're hesitant to double-team Yao and leave Rice open, especially after seeing Rice in the Seattle game.

Oh yeah, what a great idea, after beating 3 of the best 5-6 teams in the league your going to rip the rotation again and start a rookie who hasn't shown squat in preaseason or the regular season so far.

    Genius baby, genius

We need Rice. The Rice of the '90s, not the Rice who appears to be in his 90s.

I hope the man proves me W-R-O-N-G.

We need a sweet stroke at the '3'. So, KT ain't the right feller, there. Hey, what about that Euro dude?

You just saying that because he had a bad game last night. But he is usually hot from the 3. Give him time, If he is still doing sorry, then move somebody else to the starting lineup. Like Nachbar! No, really move Nachbar. Or just Griff!
