Vince is back leading in the all-star voting. Why has he become popular again?

he has been popular ever since the dunk contest. he made the starting line up last year too, even though he was injured for most of the season. so this year, since hes not injured and is playing well, should mean even more votes.

Cause Carter is good and deserves those votes. The question should be is why are so many people voting for Francis and have been the last couple of seasons?.

Its all about fancy moves and dunks
Carter, Francis, Kobe and Tmac are always in the top 10.
Kobe and Tmac deserve to be in the top ten because of their stellar play but the dunks are what put them there. The one exception is Big Ben and hes up there cuz theres no other center in the East.

It is because Francis and Vince always have the most commercials.

VC deserves to be on the all star team...dunno bout being a leading vote getter..but he deserves it. I still hate the fact that the "NBA fans" helped put an injured grant hill, an injured VC, and an injured Mourning on the team the past few years

I don't know about other cities, but in Houston they bribe the fans to fill out all star ballots. Last year it was 100 ballots for a t-shirt. Every bored kid who is to young to understand the pick and roll, would sit ther and punch all game long. A few mothers too.

This year I saw a booth that had different levels of awards for different levels of votes cast.

I am sure we are not the only ones, but it seems wrong to me.

Why do people continually hate on Carter when he is clearly a top 15 player in this league?

I've been saying this for a long time. The NBA allstar voting is a sham.

That said, I think Carter deserves to be in THIS YEAR.

I have no problem with him being voted in...I'm just amazed that he is the leading vote getter considering the lack of hype he's getting compared to years past.

I agree, I recall his rookie or second season everyone was saying how he was better than Kobe. He also took his team to within a game of the conference Finals a few years back when the 76ers went. He got injured and everyone started hating, that's how it is here in the U.S. They love to ride all over somebody when he/she is doing good and as soon as that person struggles a bit they hate and jump off the bandwagon. I am happy for VC for bouncing back and having a solid season.

I' mot a big fan of the all star game anymore, mostly because of the way voting goes.Steve Francis is an all star along with the guys mentioned above. Somehow it just seems weird that players like Cat ,for example, have never made the all star game. Many of the guys who aren't given much press deserve to be in that game, by virtue of their stats. Mcgrady would be an all star anyway, but that miserable commericial with "Birdman's" music in the background helps out his cause big time.

He's leading the votes because of the other players listed as forwards in the EC.
Who do you think that the average Joe should vote, instead of him?

Where can I view the all-star votes so far?
