The rumors of Rasheed Wallace moving out of Portland has began to rise once again. Everyone says hes gone this season to a team that needs him. Supposely i heard a rumor the the Wizards,Jazz,Dallas,Atlanta, and now possibly Miami could be interested in him. But since the Rockets have the inside scoop on him with connection to that team with former houston texan owner there, they might can get the 9 year PF who is now entering his prime of his career and could be a very shocking player next year. The Trailblazers are interested in Griffin for a backup position in also would like Mobley at the starting 2, moving bonzi to the small foward position. If this trade went down, i think les would make houston very proud. There is alot of people that says Wallace is a trouble maker, but hes been really quite the last few years and seems to have shown some great maturity. With the change of team and city's maybe he could prove to be a very respectable person on and off the court. The trade involves 5 players, basicly and i think it helps the rockets tremdously cause they will probably lose James Posey to Chicago. Basicly we receive MccInnis and Rasheed and Give Rice,Mobley,Griffin, and a future 1st rounder to Portland. Portland is going to rebuild there team, and i think they want to get rid of some of there dangling high contracts. I like trade very much, and with MccInnis,Francis,Yao,Rasheed we could really be a force to recond with next year. This has been mention here numberous times but i really understand what Ewing says "Ming needs a reaL banger down there at PF who can rebound and block shocks" He is right i fell that we dont have 4-5 years to wait for Griffin to be good, cause thats probably how long it will take. Jvg and Ewing could mold Sheed to the perfect Power Foward. We are hurting at the PF Position and lets face guys this aint going away, and its our very weak spot. Lets get this done Les. Les just admited to us that Posey might be gone to Chicago and we can't afford any new free agens. So this has to be something we do for us to get better. Too bad this is another Pipe Dream that could happen but wont!. :(

Rasheed isn't a real banger. He gets like 7-8 boards a game and shoots too many 3's. He seems to disappear late in games, judging from the Portland playoff exits. I question his desire.

    And, oh yea, he's PSYCHOTIC.

I like how people say they "hear rumors" yet never say where in order to self make themselves into an insider.

Do you honestly think you have any credibility on this board? This is sad.

Mr. Clutch, so what. If you want to make a big splash you have to take a risk and thats the best risk out there. Nobody would fault the Rockets brass for acquiring Wallace..or Odom for that matter. If there is one coach who could get the most out of those type of guys its probably JVG. I mean he seemed to have Oakley, Sprewell, Ward, Johnson, and Ewing eating out of his hand - those guys are no slouches when it comes to hotheads. Acquiring Wallace and maybe Odom would definitely be a big splash. Hell of a risk, yeah, but thats what this franchise needs right now.

Every team needs someone who can block shocks.

The problem is, there are so few shock blockers out there.

Why do you newbies consistently insist on using Cuttino as a throw-in for all your trade scenarios.

Rasheed is one of the most overrated players in the nba. He has the talent to be all world but will never live up to it. the guy is a cancer, and when did he become a "banger" like we supposably need. Why are we "probably lose Posey to Chicago?"

Dude, find other things to do with your hands in front of a pc when your bored.

Well, he said, "Supposely i heard a rumor..."

In other words, he's unable to verify whether or not he actually heard the rumor. Ha! That's priceless.

Supposedly I almost heard a story about a possible rumor of heresay that may have been innuendo that we're going to trade Moochie for LeBron. Hey, that makes it true! Look at me, I'm a ClutchCity stud!

I was happy when they brought JVG in......

but I had a little twitch in my eye when he added Ewing...

I mean - I think overall he'll probably be great - but it's just hard to get past. I mean.........Ewing a Rocket?? He's just been the enemy for far too long - it's tough to swallow.

The Knicks have always been my favorite team to hate - now they're taking over our team!!!

I'm willing to go with it though - I know these guys are warriors and they're proven veterans so I'm willing to give them a shot.

but.......Rasheed Wallace??? I'm sorry - you've gotta draw the line somewhere. One of the reasons I've loved the Rockets all these years is because win or lose they've always had a lot of class. Guys like Hakeem, Drexler, Yao, Rudy T, Barkley - they have CHARACTER. Let's not start recruiting Rodmans and Wallaces and throw all that out the window. I think.........I HOPE that Rockets management is smart enough to see that.

two thumbs down on that one. ; D

seriously, people say they want a thug-hardcore-give-me-some-elbowroom-power-forward and Rasheed clearly defines that but now they dont want him. Hey you cant have it both ways. If you want a player like that you can't expect him to be civilized fella who will be a peaceful bird in the lockerroom and who off the court likes to just chill with Yao and eat his moms chinese soup and then afterwards maybe go for a nice peaceful rowboat ride with Yao in his neighborhood lake. not gonna happen. i'll except the offcourt drama as an extension of his on court game which will benefit the team and may be just be enough nasty "spunk" to get this lottery bound team over the "hump". edit: just realized that didn't ryhme.

does that makes sense, im not sure cause this is my 5th.

I would love to have Rasheed on the Rockets, he might not be a banger but he is so athletic and talented that he would free up Yao Ming to operate in the paint. Portland isn't going to take Mobley, they already have to many guards (Anderson, Wells), but they might take Griffin and Cato since they're rebuilding and need good, young size. By the way, Portland fans are also saying that the Blazers have put Rasheed on the block. Rasheed is worth taking a gamble on, and it's he a free agent after this year?

i also think that sheed would be a good fit for the team. its not like he would have to be the man on our team, just play his game. the best part is that if it doesnt work he walks at the end of the year. i could see him being a solid 18/10 player on our team plus he's a vet with playoff experience.
