I think this guy is a player with great athleticism and a huge upside. He hasn't been given the chance in LA to blossom and I think he would be a big upgrade to our small forward problem. Plus he is young and has all star potential. To get him- Houston trades #1 pick, Moochie Norris LA trades- #8 pick, #12 pick, Keyon Dooling, and COREY MAGGETE Why not do this trade. With the #8 pick we can take Jeffries and with 12 we can take Borchardt or Marcus. Keyon Dooling will be a great backup to Francis and then on top of that, we get Maggete.
That will not make us any better of a team then just drafting Ming at #1 and still might have a shot a Jeffries or Stoudemire at #15. What we need to do, if we are not getting Ming is trade down in the draft and get Dunleavy or my pick Butler.
All the players in the NBA are very athletic or they wouldn't be playing. I would! But seriously, Maggette is a project and will probably remain a project until he's 30 and out of the NBA.
