Seriously....can someone explain to me why I have to watch this guy limp around the basketball court while healthy players are stting on the bench. This guy is really good when he's healthy.....but do the organization expect us to just accept this for the whole season? I keep reading this bullcrap that he needs to play and get used to it.... Why not rest and just get it stronger by practicing instead of letting him play in crucial games. Why not put him on the injured reserve, and we can sign someone who can help our bench.....sign Deke, Bonzi....whatever, anything is better than watching our star limp up and down the court.
trying to showcase that he has something left in him so they can possibly pull a trade for a team that needs some veteran backup that can afford to give up some young talent. im guessing bobcats, wallace is leaving and they need another 3. i definately think its a ploy to showcase him for a trade. "tmac is still better than most players in the league injured" thats the title of the tape being sent to other gm's. wish the guy wuz healthy i miss his old play.
No, I don't think so. I think, no offense, that that's a ridiculous conclusion. If Tracy can get out there on the court and some how contribute, he will. He needs to go out there, so that the team can get used to each other as much as possible. The team needs to fix all of its problems at the start of the seaon, and they need all the players they can get to do it.
he already talked it over with the doctors. the best plan right now is to keep playing and keep developing the strength in his knee. sitting out isn't gonna develop the strength in the knee. tmac said last night that his leg is still weak/fatigued. so what's the point of resting? the best way for his knee to get better is continue to play on it, develop more strength as he keeps playing and eventually it'll get better. we have 4-5 more months to go till the playoffs. i'm sure he'll be fine by then. we just have to limit his minutes right now. when shane returns, he'll prbably play 25-26 mins.
i hope so, but i think they should limit his practice, ive had a torn lcl and it hurt like hell and i could play but i needed full rest till it didnt hurt to be able to stregnthen it up. streghnthening it up usually means lights weights and stretching. hopefully he gets better soon.
i think even if he sits out, there's no way that he can develop that strength in the knee. he'll still be doing rehab work that requires primarily running to develop strength in that knee. so why not play the games, just control/monitor his minutes, and develop the strength in his knee that way. like i said, i think the coaches need to recognize that and put tracy in better positions to score. no more at the top of the key pick and roll, or just don't put tracy at the top of the key in general. he doesn't have the quickness right now. instead put him in the post where he simply can post up, or take 1 dribble to get to the basket, or just rise up over his man. make it easier for the guy. dude is still extremely effective in the post. just take out all the plays where tracy has to take more than 2 dribbles to get to the basket.
I think we have to let him play, just to raise his trade value a little bit before we actually trade him. It's better for our game play to keep him on bench, but no team want to trade for a roster who has little gametime. For the players victory is everything but it's not so for the GM and owners. After all, it is business. GM should always do what benefits the Owner most, because we can't fire GM but the owner can. Therefore, the GM has to do whatever he can to cheer his boss, even againest the will of himself.
There are people who want to keep Tmac from playing, people who want Tmac to play through his injuries, and then obviously people who want to trade Tmac. No wonder this team has an identity problem.
McGrady needs to be shelved until he is considered in his own mind 100%. If he says he's 100% at that time then he has no excuse anymore.
that's true.. he needs to be mentally prepared along with being physically in shape. and i don't think all the haters on this FAN website are helping.. he's only human and it's easy for him to lose confidence with all this negative energy.. give the guy a break.. sure he gets paid a whole bunch and has not lived up to our "standards" yet... let's have faith in him, i know everyone likes to give their 2 cents and say what's best for him, but in the end there are professionals who are well qualified to make the calls and know when it is ok for him to play and not play... i think it's good that he plays.. even if it is for a little bit.. tmac and yao are the heart of this team
