Morey is hella manipulating Mchale. Mchale being a yes man got him the job. No way in hell he impressed them with his playbook resume. As much as I hate the jazz, bring in Sloan. This team cant even set a proper pick but all we do PnR.
Stating the obvious, our players have 1.9 years of NBA experience including Garcia and Delfino. Or is that playoff experience? Either way, the playoffs are a completely different season. Which is why we lost by 29 in our first game. Awestruck. I hope Houston has some type of "Together" T-Shirt for the fans like OKC. We can't go anywhere this season, so save the ideas, but the unity the Thunder fans is something we should paying very close attention to.
"They can be kind of selfish," Ibaka said. "You know, when you switch against a team like them that's going to go one-on-one, that's good for us. For them, they are going to take some tough shots, some contested shots. That's something we want, that we're looking for." It seems like someone on the opposing team is too high to keep the secret why rockets are on a losing streak.
Role players on teams with multiple all stars always look good, regardless of how well they actually play.
Haha, this kind of reminds me of Kung Fu or Tae Kwan Do. People, including myself, spent years mastering it only to find out that they spent a great portion of their life perfecting something silly and predictable... People get stuck in patterns and are too afraid to adjust, but I guess, "adjustments are overrated" (Mchale, 2013). However, this is only game 1 guys!
He's been in free fall for the past two months, at least. He's being overused to an embarrassing degree.
I don't recall us running one high pick and roll - which is where Jeremy has his best PPP. It would also help Harden as it forces the defender showing to guard a perimeter player past the 3 point line. That doesn't solve our problems but at least we could run SOMETHING besides ISO. ISO is boring and isn't going to work.
We have a few variations of the pnr and screens but no real plays To answer the Ops question, straight from the coaches mouth They wanted the playbook to be easy to learn so all the new guys wouldn't have trouble adapting and thats why we don't run plays how ever your team will never be great without plays
