You see stars like LeBron, Wade, Durant, etc get every call and get away with anything. But when it comes to Kobe, its the complete opposite. Why is that? He has proven that he is on their level. What does the guy have to do to earn respect in this league? Here is a prime example: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tGskwK5hyMA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
how about tell him to drive at the rate those guys drive (except for KD) kobe is a perimeter-oriented player. if you rarely drive, you're not going to get all the calls. oh wait, he still gets 7 ft attempts in 33 minutes of playing time. please stop complaining. everybody misses calls. EDIT: and you can see why a foul wasn't called. his shot was block CLEAN. got contact as he was falling down, not on the shot.
this is one game...one call and on that note...it's the last minute of a game, a lot of calls are just a play on that late....Kobe has probably averaged 8-10 freethrows a game over his career, I'm sure someone can find the numbers on that, he gets to the line a lot. As well it really depends on the refs angle on the play as well.
Are you serious? They don't call fouls against him. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/plZ0B854hrE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0PsPATt5_DA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Kobe is #13 on all-time career free throw attempts and could possibly be in the top 5 when it is all said and done.
But it could have something to do with this: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/F82L1JbAj3E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You've got to be kidding...he may not have received that call, but that's because the only thing that beats out a superstar call is a noncall in the favor of a home team that's a contender. It has more to do with trying to give OKC more room to come back. kobe gets his share of calls, but if he drove more he'd get more.
I'm going to cut the OP some slack and believe he started this thread out of sarcasm. Guy, if you really believe Kobe doesn't get "respect", clueless would be a compliment.
If he played in MJ's era they'da sodomized him in the paint and sent him back to Greece with his daddy and the rest of the pansies.
i luv it when he doesn't get that 1 out of 25 calls go his way and then he cries and stomps all the way back down court like a 2 year old girl with overflowin huggies and a rash to boot
