Who, if any, of the Rockets acquisitions from this offseason do you think will turn out to be a "golden nugget"? (excepting EG)
Do we have to pick just one? I think getting Torres for nothing is going to be great for us if he continues to play at the level he played at in Detroit. Morris could be quite a catch also, but I think we should judge him as a first round pick, since we traded a furture first rounder for him. Both players could be great backups at SG and SF for the Rockets. I think we know what to expect from Jones, though considering what we are paying him, he could be considered a "golden nugget" in some form. B
Who is this "Kato" person you speak of? Interesting no one votes for Damon Jones. I thought he was a pretty good backup. Of course, with only one vote I say TMo...
I voted by how I'm going to feel by the surprise. If Cato actually shows up to play, nothing anybody else does will make me feel we're playoff bound. That is a nugget. Sure, sure we're paying a bit for him, but I've thrown that money out the window already. Anything he does above his history is worthy of "nugget" status. And of course, I believe he will show up. RR
Well, after the Portland game I'm still high on Torres and Morris. Torres is great at running the floor, and positioning himself for easy point. Morris showed that he can do a bit of everything again. (2-3 3pts, 6 reb, 2 off, 2 blocks, an assist, steal, and one turnover) Two games in a row these two have been impressive, hopefully it will continue, cause quality depth on the bench will be a nice asset to have considering how many injuries we usually have.
