i, for one, don't hate the jazz, but then again, i'm one in a small percentage of posters on this BBS who view the game of basketball from a more mature perspective than that of a 10-year old. i mean, sure i did, back in the day during our championship years, but, what's to hate about them? the fact that they actually play with brains and as a team, rather than all the selfish idiots on our team? the fact that their two best players are 40-years old and they are still in the middle of the playoff pack? the fact that their best free-agent signing in 15 years was donyell marshall, and even he bolted the city after 2 years, yet they have pretty much been in the playoffs each of the last 15 years? the fact that they have a coach that can compensate for a severe lack of talent and supporting cast to his "stars" and make his team competitive year after year? hate this team? no. i envy them, and have the utmost respect for them. i admire stockton and malone for suffering in that city for 15 years - a city which is dead last on every free agent's list. it is pathetic that their owner hasn't put another player on the court in 15 years to help them win a championship (which they deserve more than anybody in the history of sports), yet you never hear a single complaint out of either of them. but, you all hate them. why? because they flop? grow the hell up. if you hate the jazz, it is pure jealousy. they are everything the rockets aren't, and everything we want the rockets to be.
Hate is evil! Strongly dislike will pass! I dont hate the Jazz but strongly dislike the two very dirty players ( Stockton & Malone).
yes, because they flop. because they play dirty. because they are no fun to watch. because i am a rockets fan. and because when it comes to watching grown men make a living throwing a ball in a hoop while wearing pajamas, i am a ten year old. i think we all are.
