you can say it's more about individuals and if that's your point i understand where you are coming from, but look at the demographics in regards to percentage of populations and the relation to wealth, education, imprisonment, ownership of property, upper level management, etc... the desparity is obvious, how does an idividual separate oneself from the group, it's about socialization, labels that define identity, white and black refer to nothing that relates to the human experience outside of social constructs, words like hispanic and latin do not conceptualize ethnic origins of the people who it is meant to define, anyone can separate themselves from groups by adopting labels and disassociating with the label, "black men" shave their head to not be scrutenized for the texture of their hair, "hispanic" women use a lighter base color in their make up to make them appear lighter and often use highlights or dye their hair to give them an appearance that makes them look more euro-american, language and culture is another way that one can separate from the group, i myself am all about unity, most people will only accept you if you are assimilated and that's where the despairty factors start to divide, extended families are looked down upon, holding on to traditions of a different culture are looked down upon,
= a very good chance at individual success. Unless you are a commodity, then you have a little leeway.....a little.

Is this necessary? The guy has pride in his own country. Good for him. Every country in the world has a dark side. You can say every country in the world suck if you want to. Just name any one country and I can look up at least 10 articles on the net for you within the next 10 minutes to argue why that country sucks.
