Now, now, people. If y'all want to pick on someone who's here: pick on me; not each other. And yes, while I never called him a "liar", he has obviously embellished things from time to time. The fact that he creates a "holier than thou" attitude about it irks me, occasionally. And while I may be a "dick", you always know that I'm upfront and honest. Hell, maybe that's why I get annoyed by it.
Hmmm, let's see... why should we miss MacBeth? 1) One of the more intelligent posters on this board. 2) Could write good quality posts for the GARM, the Hangout, and the D&D. 3) Understood basketball well enough to analyze the players for us accurately, as well as analyze basketball plays. 4) Whenever you saw MacBeth had written a post in the GARM, you knew that the post was worth reading. There is but a handful of posters like that around. 5) Could use logic and argumentation in his posts in the D&D. An ability that is not shared by other posters in that forum. Whether you believe him or not in the Hangout forum, the reasons listed above is enough to show that he was a plus to this messageboard. There were very few GARM threads of his that did not have 4 or 5 stars, and that says what a good poster he is even if you choose to view him in the harshest light possible.
History kinda says it should've been after the first few responses. Nomar started a thread about Trader_Jorge a while back. It was locked and Nomar hasn't been back since. Of course, a thread was starting with the sole purpose to embarass me, yet it wasn't locked.
Dicks isn't a banned word, DaDa. I'd only use it in extreme cases, but to use a Where's MacBeth thread to trash him is beyond the pale. There's never been any reason to believe he exaggerated or made up stories. He's been attacked here, without provocation, plenty enough. A bunch of guys acting like he was a proven liar was too much. Isabel: Give me one example of MacBeth being hung up on p*rn or p*rn stars. The one story he told involved meeting someone and finding out she was a p*rn star. Hardly rates an obsession.

I would guess that a most exaggerate, whether about their lives, personalities, opinions, or abilities. I am honest about my personality (for better or worse) and try to avoid talking about specifics of my personal life, but I am sure I have been dishonest somewhere (opinions, for example), either intentionally or as a more subconscious manifestation. I am stupid, though, and have odd ways of entertaining myself.

Nomar was banned for asking a question about Trader_Jorge, which was taken the entirely wrong way, since Nomar basically worshipped the guy. As for bashing MacBeth, I have no problem with him acting like whatever kind of Charles Van Doran he thinks he is, But he needs to admit he went through a huge transformation all the sudden. "JAG" was a soft spoken person who loved sports and asking a lot of questions related to football and things when he was around in our chat room, and in one of my Madden Sim Leagues. Never once did the guy start going into a 15 paragraph soliiloquoy on the most generic issues. If he's having health problems then I wish him speedy recovery because he certainly brought a lot of interesting color to the board and he would be missed.
This BBS would be better off without half the posters in this thread. Sure appreciate the attempts to moderate for us. WAY TO GO GUYS!
