My family is heading out the door to go downtown for the fireworks display as I type.

Unfortunately, I'm heading back to my apartment for my Sunday night poker game with the "fellas."

I just learned how to play Texas Holdem this weekend. Man, I love that game. So much fun, and I am up $150.

When I was in Houston we used to go to, I think it was called Miller Theater? Well anyways, it was the rusty colored theater (outdoor). They launched fireworks there last year. It was a good show.

I am in College Station, and I don't know where to go to see fireworks here. If anyone is in CS and knows fill me in. I am thinking they will have some over the George Bush Library.

EDIT: I found it out. http://www.theeagle.com/region/localregional/0630034thofjuly.php

WOW! Those fans (mehanical, not people) are crazy! They keep blowing that ladie's dress up. When she was sitting it looked like her skirt was goign to blow away. Then when she stood up her skirt completely blew up to her belly button. Or is that wind?

On TV. Cheaper beer, air conditioned, plus when my girlfriend gives me a BJ at the climax there aren't people giving us those "ohmahgawd, what are you DOING!" stares.

    Good times.

I saw them from a great spot... the top floor of a state office building by the Capitol. It was groovy that there were two big fireworks displays and one right after the other! I think I was closer than you, DD.

(how many miles are we from San Francisco? You need to change your sign. :) )

    Where?

My freakin' back yard. It's 12:30 and the neighborhood yahoos are at it again. I just hope they uses their supply up tonight and get lost.

an amazing synchronized fireworks display last night took place on the East and Hudson rivers, respectively.

we were on a rooftop deck party with a bunch of Texans, and we had a great view of BOTH shows. an exhilarating experience!

I usually go to White Oak Park but last night I passed on it. Glad I did since some punks decided to go all gangsta on a 6-year old.

    Luckily no one was killed.

I hope no one else went to the Miller Outdoor Theater last night. The fireworks were out of sync with a lot of delays. It just plain stunk.
