All the Boki haters can basically run and hide now, he's shown with playing time and a coach that trusts him, that he's quite a good nba player.

This is ridiculous. JVG doesn't give a damn what the fan base thinks. He's going to do what he thinks will win games.

Why is Padgett playing? You know we ain't got depth worth **** when Padgett is playing extended amount of time.

I agree, this was an experiment by JVG that didn't work out.

How often did Battier actually guard Boozer, though?

I believe Yao was guarding him most of the time, becase he's not able to guared Okur out on the three point line. That wouldn't have changed if Juwan was in there instead.

Dude seriously, that is just wrong.

The ONLY reason that Yao has to guard him was because Boozer could just absolutely ABUSE Battier in the post.

This is the exact sort of problem with looking at everything from a stats perspective.

No one that has seen Bozzer and Battier play and that uses common sense would expect Battier to be able to defend Boozer.

And yes Boozer would still get a lot of points and boards against Howard, but Howard could matchup better in that way against him than Battier and especially Padgett.

And to actually make an argument that Padgett;s minutes shouldn't have gone to Howard in this instance is absolutely ridiculous and PURELY exposes nothing but a irrational baised and unobjective hatred against Howard.

Um, no. The reason is because Yao is a liability trying to guard players out on the perimeter (which Van Gundy has said time and time again).

What do you mean, "matchup"? If Howard is also giving up a lot of points and rebounds, how are the Rockets benefitting exactly?

Padgett is a better outside shooter, which is what Van Gundy wants from his PF.

And, since JVG chose Padgett over Juwan, that means according to your logic that he must have an irrational bias and unobjective hatred against Howard. Which obviously is not the case.

I am sorry but putting it on Yao when it is simply because Battier and Padgett can handle Boozer out of line.

That's not something any true fan would even think of.

    Stop, please just stop already.

Next thing we should have Yao taking the blame for the guards getting into the lane, afterall he's just "too damn slow."

if you check my posts i've always liked JHo, I'm baffled as to why JVG refused to put him on the floor. Boozer would not have exploded the way he did if he was on the floor, simple as that.

Why can't tmac play at the 2? Start with Rafer, TMac, Bat, JHo and Yao. I still have faith in Skip to my Lou, he just has to suppress his desire to take over the game when that's not his role.

Thank you another member that actually bases their views on what players can cannot do instead of just personal biases and geeky fan boy stats.

You guys are delusional if you think Juwan would have helped us in this game. Our rotation wasn't quick enough as it was. With him in the game, there is no rotation.

So are you purposely ignoring reality so you can be a "true fan"? You actually think Yao guarding Okur on the perimeter is a sensible defensive strategy?

The point is that if Juwan was in there instead of Battier, he wouldn't have been guarding Boozer either.

What does Yao being slow (which he is) have to do with our guards letting their men get by them? You make zero sense.

And I'll repeat that according to your own argument Van Gundy must have an irrational hatred towards Juwan. Which is stupid. You don't know what you're talking about.

Since Howard has come to the Rockets, he has been roundly bashed by everyone here, everyone has called for his benching repeated, and now you have gotten it. A DNP-CD, something that you all wanted to see so badly, right? So either you were wrong before, or you're being hypocritical now.

Wait ... did anyone say that if Howard didn't play the Rockets would win 100% of their games? Show me where someone said that.
