Where is Dampier?

    Sorry guys if the answer has been posted but I haven't been on for a while and do not have the search thing.. but the last time I was on I read the "Dampier to report to Rockets" thread.. I've watched every game since but no sign of Dampier anywhere, and he signed like what, 2 weeks ago? What happened? Thanks..

    (if answer has been posted before and pretty much everyone already knew, go ahead and lock it up soon as i get the answer)

    don't worry OP, I made the same mistake. I didn't notice a big thread or update about it, it just seems like a lot of people happened to notice that Chron article at the same time.

    Dampier wants to go to a championship contender so he gets plenty of tube time to garner another substantial contract.

    Hmm, ESPN in this article says that the Rockets didnt like Dampier's health. No mention of Dampier not wanting to join the Rockets because of the bad record.

    Still, that might be the official story. Neither side likes the PR of backing out because of the rockets bad record.
