When is the trading deadline? What are the Rox chances of getting Magette from Orlando for a copuple of our players in the last year of their contract? I was readfing somewhere around draft day last summer that this guy has the perfect bodyfor the NBA and in the tournament last March the commentators said he might end up being better than Hill if he stayed. Maggette is only an inch shorter and ten pounds lighter than Pippen and he is twenty years old. We could package Williams and either a pick or another player in their last year for the guy. It seems to me that this would work because of Orlando's desire to sign free agents and the rumor now that all the big name free agents want to play there means they would want more cap space. Anyone think this is even possible? This kid may end up being better than Morris who seems to be our best fit in the draft this year. It would also allow for us to draft Mihm (who I think will be damned good). 1-Francis - going to be great 2-Anderson - 2 million per is about right 3-Maggette - could be like Hill one day 4-Cato - better suited for the pf 5-Mihm - solid in every aspect Mobley - good 6th man (ie Eddie Johnson) Rogers - better of the bench Drew - still called the next Mark Price Fill out the roster with young, solid bench players and a couple of big second round picks and we have a chance at a title.
if if mihm, martin, mattola, and morris are the ones we can choose then i would pick mihm last. ------------------ johnny "red" kerr:i'm glad the bulls did'nt draft steve francis. dan roan: why!!!!! johnny red kerr:because he would forever be compared to michael jordan.
If we cant get a young 3 through a trade or free agency then I would like us to get either Morris or Chris Porter. We need to get a young 5 though soon. After Dream is gone we are weak in the middle on the boards.
