JVG brought up a great point. the heat's role players have been exceptional this year, but dwade has not been the same. he's shooting 42% this year and he looks awful v. the lakers. i've watched at least 5-6 heat games this year and he just doesn't look the same. his jumper doesn't look as good, and his 3pt shot continues to be awful. hopefully he regains that magic b/c the heat can be pretty good in the east.
I was watching him on a few possessions and he looks incredibly lethargic. There was a loose ball early in the game and I saw him stand there when Fisher was about to scoop it up and take it in for a lay up. Something's up with him.
it's not just that. his lethargy in this game may be due to his offensive struggles (artest is basically shutting him down, with help of course). hopefully he's not on the decline, which he very well could be (his game is too physical). let's see if this keeps up as the season progresses.
He's wearing himself down too fast with the way he plays. And maybe there are some minor injuries nagging him again. When its all said and done Wade might not be in the discussion with Lebron and Kobe. His career might be way shorter than theirs will be.

Maybe he needs a fresh start, ahem....Houston...with a healthy Yao Ming...and great role players, cough, ahem. Will not have to carry as much of the load.
Decline? Please... we're only 20% into the season and he's still putting up nearly 27/6/5. He'll pick up his FG% before seasons end.

I am the only one awake in the house right now and when he started singing that song I couldn't stop laughing and woke my wife up. That was funny ass hell.
Yes, but something still isn't quite right though. Wade's inconsistency is troubling. Part of it might be his supporting is so bad. Yes, he's done the Superman act a lot of times this season and shown he's still a sick, SICK player. But too many times Wade has looked flat out bad. I think his mid-range jumper is less reliable than in the past and that's why his shooting percentage is down.
that's just completely false. the team has 5 people in double figures. more importantly, his teammates are playing superb team defense (as you are witnessing tonight) for most of the season. what i'm seeing is that his jumpshot has failed him this year. he still gets to the cup and ft line just fine. but his jumpshot has been mediocre (as bad as he was in his rookie year). hopefully he'll pick it up.
