Why in the world is Mobley driving the ball?????????? You like to heave up crappy threes all the time, except when we need them. Great job.

When you are down 3 with 20 seconds, its just as good to drive and get 2. I'd say the probabilities of winning are even greater. We wouldn't have even been in OT if not for Cat. Unreal how people try and blame him for everything.

Well, then drive to the freakin' basket instead of doing some sh!tty finger roll. I'm not blaming the loss on Mobley, just a horrible decision at the end, IMO.

stop trying to defend him the cat. I could care less that he drove, because that wasnt a bad decision, but he put up a WEAK ASS lefty fingerroll! IF your gonna go to the hole in that situation, go with some authority for god's sake. I could go into a ton of things Cuttino did wrong tonight. One he should NEVER shoot a fadeaway shot just because he couldnt get to the hole. He did a good job for the most part, but whenever he got bored, it seemed like he would just jack it up. Ok he helped the rocks get into overtime, I'll give him that. The one play that really pissed me off, was when he was talkin to George Lynch when Iverson was shooting free throws. WE all know what happened after that. HIll got the layup and basically ended any chance they had. Kenny and Mo were so concerned with Ratliff that Kenny came to support but there was no backside help. If Cuttino had just lined up and boxed out, they would have gotten the rebound. Why wasnt he lined up? One guard is good enough back there.

Maybe he is defending Mobley because people are blaming the guy for the loss tonight! The Rockets were lucky to be in the game the way everybody on that team froze up down the stretch! You can go into a ton of things Mobley did wrong? No you can go into a ton of things THE TEAM did wrong! Mobley didn't cost us this game THE TEAM cost the Rockets the game!

This is pathetic. If he doesn't do a fingerroll Ratliff probably blocks it, and if he doesn't you can't blame him considering how many Rat blocked tonight. EVERYONE IN THE LEAGUE talks to opponents at the free throw line, and now you're getting on him for that? You guys are crazy. Watch a replay. if you think Hill's putback is a result of Cuttino, there's nothing I can say. Plus this team is nowhere close to being in overtime if Cat isn't on this team.

My god EVERYBODY goes to the line and talk to people to psych them out! I've seen Jordan, Barkley, Bird, Vince Carter, freaking Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas do it! I'm starting to believe people are just looking at the game to find a reason to rip Mobley apart!

You're right. We might not have been in OT if not for Cuttino. We might have won in regulation.

Cuttino was part of the mess that froze up.

But scratch what I said -- I don't blame Cuttino any more than I do any other player. That game was ugly, ugly, ugly.

But let me say this, hopefully sparking intelligent debate, without all the Mobley defenders going haywire please...

Why does Mobley frustrate me SO DAMN BADLY? I will praise his skills all day, but his basketball smarts sometimes should seriously be in question.

How many times did Cuttino smack his head or fall to the ground tonight because he knew he screwed up? I think Cuttino knows it himself...

If the guy would add some more smarts and savvy (which I hope comes with experience) then he'll be an All Star 2-guard.

I recognize there is a hypocrisy here -- when Francis makes a boneheaded play I don't get as upset (though I still do)... I think it's because Mobley has a history of doing some wild, ill-advised stuff and it just frustrates the hell out of me when I see him atleast appear as if it's Cuttino before the team.

You aren't the only one. Honestly, I just think the majority of the BBS has a problem accepting team losses. We win as a team, we lose as a team. Plain and simple. We went through this same experience earlier in the year when it was Mo bashing season. Now apparently it's Cat bashing season. Losses come as a team, NOT individuals. Can some of you guys PLEASE try and learn that?

Ok, I admit I overreacted, but you people dont see what I'm talking about. For one, he wasnt psyching out any opponent, he was just chitchatting with Lynch, who WAS NOT shooting free throws. Iverson was shooting the free throws. All I'm saying is that if Cuttino had lined up, the rockets would have had a 3 to 2 advantage for the rebound , and that Hill layup would likely not have happened.

I agree with Clutch, Mobley's mistakes do for some reason just piss me off more than any other player. It just seems like IF he is not successful that it turns into a basket for the other team. Also his mistakes seem to come at crucial times in the game. I dont doubt his skills, I know he is a good player, but these last 2 games he's been bad.

And all I'm saying is that RUDY, not the players, decides how many players and what players to line up at the free throw line.

Oh I don't mean you Clutch, I understand why you're angry at Cat (if you haven't been in the chatroom when Cat screws up then you're missing and experience [IMG] ) It's just that it gets frustrating when you hear people go so far as blame him for a missed rebound, or get on him for talking to people. That being said, Cat made some bonehead plays, but this team earned the L. An L that should have been a W. *sigh*

Yeah apparently we are only successful and the game is 100% enjoyable to watch when a team goes 82 and 0.....go figure

Not sure there has ever been a game where a player didn't make a mistake, live with them because without mistakes and failure you can't learn and Succeed.

I once heard Clyde Drexler say that he and other players talked about each other's families DURING a game, so I can't blame Cuttino for that. As for Cat not lining up and giving us a 3 on 2 advantage, if it took a 6-4 guard for us to get a rebound and to stop the other team's PF from scoring then we're in worse shape then I thought. . .

I dont blame Cuttino for the missed rebound, I'm just pissed that the rocks probably would have gotten the rebound if he was in there. If Rudy told them who to lineup for the freethrow thats OK. I really dont think he did though. I think Cuttino just saw the guy he was guarding, Lynch, wasnt lined up, so he didnt lineup. I just think 3 against 2 is a better situation than 2 against 2.

Actually, I dont care how tall the player was, if he had been in there he could have stopped Hill who came from the other side to get the board. I DO NOT BLAME CAT for this loss. But he needs to use his head a little more.
