With Morey saying nobody wants to face the Rockets in the playoffs it is clear he still believes this team can compete for a championship this year. Now that the Rockets are over 50% through the regular season I believe one can get a pretty good feel for the ceiling and floor of this team. What should Morey do at the trade dealine? Make moves for this year or make moves to better position the team for 2017 and beyond?
All I ask is that he doesn't stand pat. At least trade one of D-Mo/T-Jones because there is not a chance they're both going to be on this team next year.
clutchfans knows best i think morey should never embarass himself like that again, thats what i think he should do
He's not stupid. He knows deep down that absolutely nobody is going to be afraid of this team in the playoffs. This whole team will be reshaped soon, but it makes no sense for him to admit that right now because doing so would hurt attendance. He can't allow for that to happen.
He should resign and admit that subjective things like leadership and character matter just as much as analytics.
Deal for today, baby! We got great pieces... top 3 center Lawson is getting into the groove Harrell is bringing good energy Capella is formidable Ariza can be a lockdown defender Thornton always brings good energy Beverly is shooting much better and always has defensive intensity KICK THE BEARD TO THE CURB AND LETS GET THIS TEAM RECHARGED! Time to lose the turd in the punchbowl and everybody else will step up! SCREW HERO BALL - Let's play some TEAM BALL! THESE GUYS CAN DO IT! Let's get another good piece for harden (gallo, butler...) and recapture the energy that kept us alive in game 6 against the Clippers last year! Lose with the "Iverson gameplan' or build a Pistons like balanced championship team! I know many won't agree - I don't care... extract the cancerous morale killer and this team will flourish!
Go all out for the third superstar. Gut the entire team of its role players and future talent if necessary. We literally have nowhere left to go. Need to take a shot like the Nets did, and hope that it turns out better for us than it did for them.
