the way i see it, we hav not lose a single asset from last year but only upgraded. At worse we'll be the same team last year. Even if scola suks, he is still definitely better than J.Ho. No doubt about that.
If Scola can't hit wide open shots and make the layups Chucked missed than Morey has made a serious mistake.
Bringing Adelman was the reason why Bonzi is staying and James is coming. So there were multiple benefits as to having the new coach around. I think given his reputation, Adelman has a lot more appeal to players than JVG does.
Is Butler quick enough to slide over from center to power forward? At one point while with San Antonio he slimmed down to the 240-250 range, but I lost track after that story. One advantage for us is that he scrimaged against Duncan on a regular basis so perhaps that might help. Dunno. Thoughts?
I'm hoping he can earn some minutes there. He's fairly quick, has some offense, and is certainly the right size to match up with the big 4's in the West. A long shot, but who knows? I never dreamed Cato could be effective, at all, as a 4.
Did he play C or PF with the Knicks? I don't watch them except for when they play the Rockets so I am unsure.
My thoughts exactly. If he does struggle, could he be any worse than "average". Hell I've never seen him other than the "highlights", I'm sure there are lowlights as well, but there's something to be said about what the rest of the league, including the Spurs have to think about him. Sure, there will be an adjustment period, but during that time I expect him to provide nothing less than what JHo provided but with additional vigor and enthusiasm because of his age.
nice contribution to the thread I can already see you wont sniff member anytime soon. granted...I dont agree with that guy hardly at all, but the name calling around here has gotta stop. Yall are making us look like some inferior boards like ESPN or RealGM.
3rd that. and what is up with the off topic arguments that have been popping up this summer? I don't know whats up ,but it is getting very annoying.
Dont know what your point is, but MINE was this: Have the Rox improved their frontcourt enough to truely hang with the Spurs, Mavs, Jazz, and Suns. James, Brooks, Wells dont fit into the discussion here. And as already posted, James could very well be done, as seen last year. Butler is a never has been, Wells could very well be fatman of last year, and did you really include Landry and Brooks? The book is still open on the Rox I think. Outside of Yao, they have 0 proven players in the frontcourt who are solid rebounders/defenders/scorers. Next time dippy, stay on topic, or just keep quiet.
