I know there will be people that are anti-war no matter what, and I can respect it if they admit that. My curiosity lies in what if instead of Iraq we had made a full court press in Afghanistan. As the soviets showed by losing 15K troops there, it is a harder country to occupy than is Iraq. The big argument against Iraq is "why are we there" but aren't there other arguments against war? Is anyone here against staying in Iraq but would actually be FOR staying in Afghanistan if thats where we were right now and the troop casualties and losses were similar?
