When Dirk is in the high post why do we double? It just frees up Dampier back door and it's an automatic two or leaves us all scrambling and they end up hiting a wide open three. I say no in side baskets and stay home on their three point shooters. let them take that midrange shoot that is low percentage. Of course we should put a hand in their face but no double.

    Why didn't mutombo play more?

Why didn't ryan bowen come in early in the fourth rather then the last 30 secs?

Bowen was in foul trouble and JVG was saving him for crunch time.

Good point about Dirk's passing ability though. I was very impressed with his passes out of the double team. That said, I don't think we have a player that can consistently guard him one- on-one, especially at crunch time. His falling backward's jumper last night pretty much sealed the Dallas run. He kind of did that one off one foot. Quick move with almost no chance to stop it.

Dirk and Finley played solid games last night and seem to have woken up unfortunately. Our D was pretty good but the way the game was called was rediculous. Every ticky-tacky reach in was whistled. I'm hoping the refs open up play a bit so teams can get more into a flow. It would help us enormously on D to slow down the whistles.
