What happens if 2 teams have the same record and split the season series?

    this has been at the back of my head for a while now, but what happens if 2 teams records are the same and they split the season series to. for example: LETS JUST SAY next year the rockets and the suns each go 55-27 and the regular season is over. the 2 teams split the season series. who gets the higher playoff position?

    except that there is nothing to "discuss" here. It's settled by the rules set forth by the NBA. The poll just makes no sense.

    I agree that the poll is pointless and ridiculous, is like asking in a poll, what happens when a player gets two technical fouls in the same game?

    A. he keeps playing, and nobody cares
    B. he goes to the bench for 5 minutes and then he can come back (like hockey)
    C. they do a coin flip to see if he stays or he leaves.
    D. other

    Superman would win.

    Unless the entire comic book world is screwy, and the Hulk was blasted with kryptonite rays instead of gamma rays.

    Then it would suck to be Supes.
