Should we really fuss over the big name free agents? No, or at least I don't think so. We have a player (Francis) who can be just as good as anyone in the league. We have our star. We don't need a Duncan or a Hill. We need to find solid players to fill our needs. We have guys that can score, Mobley, Francis, Anderson, Williams. We need guys that rebound, and play D. All we need is a few solid big men. We don't need stars, we need roleplayers. Then after we aquire those roleplayers we need to lock them up. Chemistry is the key to championships. So lets just fill our needs, we already have a more than capable Superstar.

True, but most championship teams have two stars. Yes, Houston did it with just Hakeem, but if you look at the Spurs, Bulls, Lakers this year, etc. they all have that second complementary star. We could be a solid playoff team the way we are if we pick up some solid players, but somewhere along the line we need to pick up a star like Webber or Duncan to take some of the load off of Steve. Don't get me wrong- I think Steve will be a superstar. It is just very rare when one player can take a team to the promised land by himself.

The true "needs" of this team are at the forward positions. However, I feel the Rockets should take the best non-PG player available when they draft even if it is a shooting guard. Outside of the PG position, there is enough flexibility on this team where a player at any of the other 4 positions could fit in and get PT. Also, I dont think the Rockets should depend on getting a player like Webber or Duncan, the odds of something like that happening are just too low. They should build as if they were not going to get one of them; if it happens its a bonus.
