I've been doing the diet soda thing for a while and while I feel it's still been better than the real sugar sodas (at least I FEEL better), I think it's time to kic that habit, too. So what do I drink now? I would prefer something in can/bottle form that I can stock up in the refrigerator so I don't go running out to buy something...but the water thing is hard for me to stick to exclusively. What do you guys drink? Is Fresca just as bad for me as other diet sodas? Because I kind of like that stuff, but I'm just not sure. Ideas?
Yeah, there's this carbonated water that comes in flavors. It's called L'(something). My wife buys it. It isn't bad and it still allows you to drink a carbonated beverage. It comes in 12 packs of cans and they have it at Kroger and Randall's
There is nothing wrong with diet soda. Unless maybe you are worried about high blood pressure, and even then I don't know how big of a deal it is. Drink tea. But seriously, nothing wrong with diet soda.
Except for Aspartame and the fact that studies have shown that they can still be almost as bad for you as regular sodas
I cut out all sugar sodas about 4 years ago and haven't looked back. I always get a nice Iced Tea when i'm at a sit-down joint. Also there are packets of stuff you can add to a 16.9 ounce bottle of water, like the new propel fitness water packets. It tastes sweeter than the actual propel water, so I like it.
For every study you have that says its bad Ill give you one that says it isn't bad. And if you wanna nitpick then anything can be bad for you.
If you don't drink any soda for a year, and then drink a soda, you'll realize how disgusting they are. I used to drink about five Dr. Peppers or Cokes a day. One day I quit and didn't have one for a year. When I tried one again I almost barfed. About once every three years I get a craving. One sip is enough to put me off it for another three years. Quit it and you'll never miss it. Club soda, Topo Chico, Pelligrino all the way.
vitamin water is pretty good on occasion, though it still has a good amount of sugar in it.. Honest Tea. If you get an iced tea, get one that uses real sugar like that--and just a little of it. No Arizona type stuff...and Lipton, they have 1 line called "pureleaf" that I think is good. Otherwise it's high fructose corn syrup and sugar-blasted..
The funny thing is I drink diet sodas at home but when I eat at a restaurant I order water with lemon.
