Wouldn't have been able to sign Mo if scottie was here. Scottie also wasn't a team player. Compare his and Walt's #'s (especially over the last 20 games) and you will see there was not that much of a drop off.

Who would be Hakeem's backup at center? I guess David Robinson, Shaq, Zo, and other dominating post up players would just have a field day. We acquired some good role players out of the trade and some cap space. I'd rather have what we have now.

Aside from the fact that we would have no cap room for next summer which would mean no Taylor, I'd still much rather have Walt, Cato, and Rogers from a personnel standpoint than Scottie.

I am so glad we got rid of Pippen.

Not only is his contract unbelievably huge, he would not be part of the young nucleus working for the future and hence useless.
I think the reason most of us were excited about Pippen was because of the fact that we would be getting a new "Big Three."
Barkley is gone and Olajuwon is a mere shadow of his former self. Why hold on to the past with a guy like Pippen?
Even with him in the lineup, I doubt whether we would have a chance for next season.

    Why not just say:
    Hakeem
    Jordan
    Drexler
    Francis
    Quitten
    Mo
    Shandon
    Barkley

How could you dare to put Hakeem on the bench????? Also, Chuck should start over Malone.

I disagree, there was a large dropoff. Walt's numbers were much better. [IMG]

Yeah, but I'm talkin' reality. Be happy I put Hakeem in there instead of Kareem. [IMG]

I think Finn is talking about the trade that the Rockets did not do in 84. The one for Jordan and Clyde. I dont think he just came up with that team. That lineup, atleast in theory could have been starting for the Rocks next year.

yes we could have had mj and clyde all 4 frikkin ralph sampson. of course none of the 3 (mj, clyde, hakeem) would have turned out as good. and mj and clyde are both 2 guards michael could play pg but he wouldnt be as good. we probably would not have drafted mj we would have gotten a 3 or a pg but still i would liked to have them make that deal.
