    I mean we need a backup center, right? He is younger than Deke, plays harder than Deke and has more offensive skills than Deke.

    A fiery guy like him might help get our superstars in gear.

    i was JUST going to post this. I dunno how he's doing since his injury last year, but if he still has anything left, he would be the perfect backup to Yao. Mourning could even slide over and play PF against Duncan, Garnett, and Amare.

    he's said publicly that he wanted one more year, because he doesn't want an injury to force him into retirement. Not sure how that injury is doing, but he did say he would return.

    He's injury prone, while Mutombo is pretty durable.

    I wondered about this a few times since last season. He would sure as hell bring more than Mutombo would. He is good enough that he would log minutes even with Yao healthy.
