I know he played very well at UT, and then I think he went to the NBDL. Why not invite him to play on the summer league squad? I think its worth a shot, esspecially considering he crashes boards like crazy! I think he could be a cheaper version of Swift, even though Im still holding out hope we can sign Stro. Any thoughts?

I think he led the NBDL last year in Rebounds per game. But, he sucked his senior year at UT. Pretty sure he was on an NBA roster at the end of last season. Maybe Atlanta's? He's a beast on the boards and he knows that's his strength. I wouldn't mind seeing him at the end of the bench. Maybe he can teach Yao how to rebound. Though, I'm starting to think he might not ever learn.

I think he is definitely worth a summer league invite. He is long, athletic, and can score a little bit as well. I think his only problem is his lack of size (although his shoulders are HUGE!). I'd rather see him the VIn Baker on the bench.

Didnt he have some nagging injuries that slowed him down?

Yes he did. James Thomas would be a great invite to the summer league. He is one hell of a rebounder and really hustles. I think he could suprise a few teams if he got the playing time.

he had a TON of injuries his senior year at texas that he just didn't let people know about, that's why the numbers and overall level of play were down. he finished the season with atlanta and he could end up back with them next year because i think they may offer him an extension but i don't know for sure. i would love to have a guy like thomas on our team. he probably won't play more than 10 min. a ball game but he'll work hard and rebound the hell out of the ball and play D. better and cheaper than weatherspoon and baker.
