Why not this guy for our power forward. I know he plays center for the 76ers but I think that he is definietly quick enough to gaurd slightly smaller power forwards. I cant imagine this guy asking for more than the MLE and he is a beast on the boards and runs the floor very nice. Im not quite sure how good of a shot blocker he is but with his long frame and athleticism I know he could atleast scare people into thinking that he could. We already know that we would be getting a player with tremendous work ethic and I also believe that under JVG he would be able to take it up a knotch or two. Well its a slow offseason, or maybe it just seems that way because all of the anticipation, but what do you guys think?

he's a restricted fa, last I checked, and the 76ers said they will match any offer I believe.

I would love to have him but no way the 76ers would not match our MLE for him.

I saw at least a dozen Sixers games in person last year, and Sammy’s exactly what we need. He’s much more of a PF in the Western Conference mold.

However, Billy King will be run out of town if Sammy leaves. He’ll be a Sixer next year – especially now that they dumped O’Brien (Sammy was not pleased with Jimmy’s short hook.) No need to waste bandwidth wondering about DAlembert in a Rockets uni -- he'll be a Sixer.

In other news, I was at the hardware store the other day and saw this really tall guy standing impatiently at the register waiting for a price check. I wondered for a second where I’d seen his face until I realized it was Dalembert! Ah, the glamorous like of an NBA player – standing around at Sears Hardware in sweats waiting for a price check like everyone else …

    (No, I don’t have pics!)

Um...why not. In slightly fewer minutes than Haslem, he basically put up the same production, while without a doubt being the better defender and weak-side shot-blocker. Haslem is apparently getting over the MLE and it is being looked at as a discount, since he felt Miami really gave him a chance.

In either case, Philadelphia would certainly match the MLE if that was all he wanted.

The answer to this thread is basically the same as the answer to your other thread about Tyson Chandler.

He will probably get the max ... no way he'll be available, just like Chandler. Of course he'd be great here ... especially for the MLE, but its not going to happen.

he'll definitely get more than the MLE and should get more money than swift because i think he's a better player. i'm not terribly sure he can play the PF position. he's a good athlete but really doesn't have a whole lot of lateral quickness. i think swift is better suited at the PF position in the west than dalembert. let's say houston needed a C, which we don't, i'd want samuel really bad because he's a very good rebounder, defender, and shot blocker at the C position.

I remember seeing him mentioned as a possible luxury tax cut. That'd be sweet, but I don't think it'll happen.

I think a 100% healthy Juwan is better than the current playing-on-one-leg Webber. And that contract...ouch...that's really ugly.

Another example of how fantasy will soon meet reality.

We'll be lucky to land any young legitimate player with the MLE.

I would be very happy with getting either Chandler or Dalembert. But I know the happiness will probably never come. :(

May be it's time to call Kelvin Cato.
