They had it at my wife's too. Unfortunately the administration hardly ever backed the teachers up. It became pointless for her to keep reporting it.

Let me clarify one thing. I dislike girls wearing sexy stuff. It's hard enough these days to figure out what's legal and what's not.

As for the accessorizing and things, girls like pretty stuff. They ain't like dudes - they like random lace and designs on thongs and "traditional" panties.

I will now stop talking about women's underwear because i am beginning to feel like a perv.

Whether it is amusing or disturbing, girls who are too young are wearing provacative clothing. It may be the latest fashion trend, but skimpy clothing attracts attention, and it may be the attention of a sexual predator. Fashion trends die when people stop buying them. It is up to the parents to discuss and influence their daughters clothing decisions.

The boy in question acted agressively and deserves punishment and counseling. You can't just say his actions were a childish prank.

I personally do not believe the girl in question was wrong for wearing a thong. You can wear a thong and not have it showing. It sounds like the boy had to do some searching to find it, which pretty much exonerates the girl from being a slut. I personally think the low rise jeans and spray-on tight half t-shirts are worse then wearing a thong that nobody can see.

I beg to differ Senor Valdez....

All I said was that I would never allow my daughter to wear one of those as long as she was a minor living in my house.

I didnt say one word about it being slutty.....

and IIRC, I also noted that the kid was a loser for picking on a girl...I was raised better than that..

just goes to show, if I aint doing tech support or offering clips....no one really reads my posts...;)

I don't know where the hell you get that conclusion from. I didn't say the girl was dressed in a slutty manner. I didn't even imply that her wearing a thong encouraged the attack. (As a fellow who has encountered that tired version of blaming the victim in court cases involving rape in my own nuclear family, I think I would have more sense than to state some ignorant piece of crap like that as I understand how hurtful and misguided such rationale is and how it further harms the victim.)

I only said that I wouldn't approve my own daughters wearing a thong at that age--regardless of the fashion function of the article. It has to do with a specific critique of pop culture and mass behavior--a critique both myself and my wife share, not some sexist idea about proper gender behavior. I have specific items I wouldn't approve a son (if I had one) from wearing/owning at a young, impressionable age. I specifically stated that the little b*stard was wrong for assaulting her and I think he deserves severe punishment becaue what he did constitutes sexual assault. How the hell that equates to "the girl is dressing to a slutty manner" is beyond me.

I disagree with this entire statement. A woman is not degraded because she chooses to wear thongs. That's like saying a man is degraded for wearing an A-shirt(aka wifebeater). She's degraded by guys like you that treat her differently because she wears one. If you really think women are sluts because they like to wear thongs, you've got some serious judgemental issues to deal with.

Now, in reference to the topic at hand, I also agree with the majority who think a 15 year old girl has no business wearing a thong because of the image that JayZ750 and a growing part of society are often assigning to the underwear. Does the fact that she chose to wear one make her a slut? No. Nor did it give the boy in this scenario the right to do what he did.

I wasn't really using this as an example, I just think that high school girls dressing like whores has become an epidemic in America, and for 20 year old males who see them out like that... It's not pleasant trying to not be perverted.

Right, but worn properly, you don't know whether a woman is wearing one or not, so it's irrelevant. The ones that wear them hanging out invite that sort of criticism, just like the assclowns that wear their pants so low that their boxers are 3/4 of the way out.

The fact that a woman chooses to wear a thong has absolutely no bearing on how active she is sexually. There are an equal number of sluts in the world wearing granny panties.

Well, whether you agree with it or not, I can tell you what I see on tv, at the mall, at the movies, at restaurants, at sporting events, at gas stations, etc., etc., etc. The sluttier, looser woman were are wearing thongs constantly and letting the world know about it.

Wearing a thong all the time does degregate their gender. And you're exactly right - a man wearing a wife-beater everywhere he goes also degregates the male gender. There is a time and a place for everything - I've worn a wife-beater, my wife has worn a thong. Neither of us do it in situations that aren't appropriate.

Also, I've continually said what the boy did was wrong. You're right that I can't comment on whether or not this girl was a slut, but imo, school is definitely not a place for a 15 year-old girl to be wearing a thong.

Finally, I'm not assigning an image to anything. I'm commenting on the image a growing % of the female gender is assigning to themselves.

But they aren't assigning the image to themselves. You are.
